Testo Betsabé - Sin
Testo della canzone Betsabé (Sin), tratta dall'album Andpoetry
I met the man I'm scared of becoming
Known him for a long time actually
Friend of the family, around since I was baby
Stallion like spirit, tall, confident, calm, well spoken, cool
Even Licker, couldn't get hold of him
But ever since I could remember
I'd hear rumourings from parents circles of this
And that, failure of love affairs
Too often throwing his name along the word dog in speech
And I wanted to be just like him
Lone wolf type, adventurous, free man
Over the years I grew up
Came to understand what divorce meant
And how that word make adults look at you different
One day came to work with him, ingested stories of his
Leaving home as a kid close to my age
And paying his way ever since then, put me on game
Told me plenty woman just want good time and company
So as you go along be upfront about intentions
And you can do no wrong now I know I married and got side piece but
One night a little drunk, he told me
As if unloading the words anywhere
I haven't met a woman that could satisfy me as of yet
My heart he said, "Is always left wanting"
The day I do I'll quit the messing around
I notice his hair starting to gray
And maybe that's just the kind of man we are
Because I find myself looking in vain
For someone to move me that way
That way they always talk about
When the knowing is easy and devotion astronomical
Maybe one day I'll be telling the next man
Same type stories he won't hear
Because none of us can force ourselves to feel something different
And wouldn't sticking around just be a worse prison
Maybe we were born to become just that man
Gray hair, shot glass in hand, alone
