What we did is we got everyone to sing, everything, and then we chopped it up
So we didn't, we didn't sort of say to Conor like, "You've got 'the' and warm'"
"And Leanne you've got 'foot'," you know, it was like um
Yeah, it was a nice way to sort of, um
Choose lovely, sort of choice words from everyone singing and put them together to make a
What could have been a completely, actually
We di-, we didn't know it was going to work until we listened back to it
It was Joe's idea
Kinda based on the, was it BBC or Channel 4 I thought it was you said
Yeah, BBC of uh, of late '90s
Um, I think it was
I think it was just advertising the BBC, and how wonderful BBC is kind of thing
And, um, it was a great variety of singers from a lot of different areas of the musical world
Singing, uh, Lou Reed, um

And- and- and, so everyone sings their own line
Um, I- I was always fascinated by that
By that advert because not only did the BBC persuade, um, so many great artists to get involved in the project
But it was just, um
It was just so, uh
It just involved so many different communities
And so many different backgrounds of music, I was just
It was a lovely thing to watch
Um, I think that's why so many people bought the single
And, you know, I think it was a single in itself
I think it was a big thing
Um, anyway, I thought it was a really nice thing to, um
Take that idea and think well, let's- let's- let's cut it down to a word and everyone sings a different word as opposed to a different sentence
So you have a collage of voices and, um
You know, uh it, uh yeah kind of like sonically it could be quite an interesting thing to listen to
Yeah
And I think also it's not that we haven't taken much advantage of the fact that we can now kind of
Call people up and ask them to feature on our tracks
It's, when you, we do have the opportunity to do that now, you know
And it's nice to do that not just for the sake of, um
You know, getting some cool featuring names on a track but also just to find some lovely voices
I think what ties us, brought us together they've all got really good voices
You know, Conor Oberst and Leanne are better known than Steve Ooman or Mari Hackman
Um, but you know, they've all got just, you know beautiful ways of singing
So I think, sometimes it's nice to kind of go, "Hey, we could probably actually ring up Conor Oberst and ask him to be on our track now 'cause it's our second al-"
