Testo REST - BLVRS
Testo della canzone REST (BLVRS), tratta dall'album MORE LIKE YOU: THE REMIXES - EP
It's hard to let go
Of empty things that I schedule
But I've been learning to revel
In a rest that's overdue
So teach me to settle
To fall asleep in Your meadows
And help me see that I'm better off
Whenever I'm with You
Cause You're the source of endless peace
So will You set my mind at ease?
Give me rest
Give me rest
In Your company
I find comforting
Give me rest
Too much to handle
When life begins to dismantle
But in the midst of the shambles
There's a place I'm running to
Cause through the disaster
You're the calm that I'm after
Still restoring the shattered fragments
Making me renewed
Cause You're the source of endless peace
So will You set my mind at ease?
Give me rest
Give me rest
In Your company
I find comforting
Give me rest
You are my shepherd
And I don't need anything more
You are my shelter
The comforter of my soul
I'll admit that I'm worn
Admit that I'm stressed
Admit there's a gaping hole in my chest
And if this ain't the valley of the shadow of death
I don't think it could be anything less
So bring it on
Bring on the war and the darts and the flames
Bring on the tears and the loss and the pain
Cause You are righteous and mighty to save for the sake of Your Name
And I'll be silent
Cause I could beat this drum and keep striving
Or I could rest and trust that You're fighting
So in the fire and the flood and the violence
Let my heart be quiet
Give me rest
Give me rest
In Your company
I find comforting
Give me rest
In Your company
I find comforting
Give me rest
