Testo Redemption Day Past - Isbells
Testo della canzone Redemption Day Past (Isbells), tratta dall'album Homeland Radio Hits Vol 2
The angels all make ready, the roads are all laid out
Rewards are in their places, they're waiting for the shout
An archangel stands at attention nearby
As Jesus closely watches the Father's eyes
The Father slowly stands, His hand begins to raise
The countdown has been started, this is Redemption Day
Then a hush falls over heaven, not a single sound inside
As the gates of heaven slowly open wide
Then the trump of God is sounded and the archangel gives a shout
Jesus leaves heaven and the saints all leave the ground
We'll all go up to meet the Lord, it will happen very fast
Then Redemption Day will be in the past
We're now inside the jasper walls, our bodies have been changed
A glorious light is shining, it cannot be explained
A sweet and peaceful beauty from the Father and the Son
Is falling all around us, touching everyone
There across the crowd I see my brother's smiling face
Along with other loved ones who were saved by Jesus' grace
We all begin a new song, praise the Lamb who died for me
That heaven could be home eternally
The trump of God was sounded and the archangel gave a shout
Jesus left heaven and then the saints all left the ground
We all came up to meet the Lord and it happened very fast
Oh, Redemption Day is now in the past
We all came up to meet the Lord and it happened very fast
Oh, Redemption Day is now in the past
