Testo Rastaman - Mikey General

Testo della canzone Rastaman (Mikey General), tratta dall'album Cut After Cut: Inspirational Reggae Lyrics

My faith in Jah is strong
So I'll keep holding on
Yeah
Well I'm so glad I'm a Rastaman
I man a Jah true creation
Come to free the people's meditation
Yeah
True dem forget 'bout the inner man
That's why dem in so much confusion
I come to give dem redemption songs
Yeah
When I was a youth and growing up
Dem never check for Rasta much (No)
They used to discriminate
Never want we fi pass dem place
But the stone that the builder refused
It's the same one they have to use
That's why
I'm so glad I'm a Rastaman
I man a Jah true creation
Come to free the people's meditation
Yeah
True dem forget 'bout the inner man
That's why dem in so much confusion
I come to give dem redemption songs
Yeah
So let the words out of my mouth
Meditation of I heart
Be acceptable, oh Jah
Right from the start
May I be worthy of those who were before me
Like Peter Tosh and Bob Marley
Give dem reality
For now, now, yeah
So proud of who I am, yeah
I'm a Rastaman
Gotta be a righteous one, yeah
Well I'm so glad I'm a Rastaman
I man a Jah true creation
Come to free the people's meditation
Yeah
True dem forget 'bout the inner man
That's why dem in so much confusion
I come to give dem redemption songs
Yeah
When I was young and growing up
They never check for Rasta much, no
They used to discriminate
Never want us to pass dem place
But the stone that they refused
It's the stone they have to use, yeah
I'm so glad I'm a Rastaman
I man a Jah true creation
Come to free the people's meditation
Yeah
True dem forget 'bout the inner man
That's why dem in so much confusion
I come to sing redemption songs
I'm proud of who I am
Yes I'm a Rasta
