Testo Rashad - X Ambassadors
Testo della canzone Rashad (X Ambassadors), tratta dall'album Townie
Bloodstained gymnasium
Putting numbers on the boards
You played point guard like it was a gladiator sport
We both went out with the same girl in 6th grade, Aileen
I wasn't cool, but you were always nice to me
I was just 13 years old
My main concern was why I couldn't afford
Those Abercrombie cargo shorts
Or why I was no good at sports
I didn't know that day you'd be
The one to show me everything is temporary
Rashad
Times like these, I think about you a lot
'Cause lately I feel like I've lost the plot
Said I'd live my life for the one that you could not
But it feels like I forgot, I'm sorry, Rashad
And January ripped through every layer I had on that day
I was in my 5th period when I heard about the accident
You got helicoptered to a hospital in Syracuse
And they said you died on the way there
Guess you went out like you lived, flying
Yeah, you went out like you lived, flying
Rashad
Times like these, I think about you a lot
'Cause lately I feel like I've lost the plot
Said I'd live my life for the one that you could not
But it feels like I forgot, I'm sorry, Rashad
Growing up is hard as hell and sometimes I don't wanna
'Cause life just breaks your heart
And people aren't who you think they are
But at least I get to feel that anger
Feel that heartbreak, feel my laughter
Happily-ever-after, until we meet again
Rashad
Times like these, I think about you a lot
'Cause lately, I feel like I've lost the plot
Said I'd live my life for the one that you could not
But it feels like I forgot, I'm sorry, Rashad
Rashad
