Testo Never Look Back - Red Tips
Testo della canzone Never Look Back (Red Tips), tratta dall'album Come to me
Never look back, never look back
Never look back, never look
Ayy, I ain't looking back, not even a glance
Left my past in the ash like a phoenix advance
I was shackled in my sins, now I'm free in His plan
Used to dance with the devil, now I lean on the Lamb
What it look like being friends with the devil?
Talked to God, He raising my level
Told Him I wanna be more like Christ
He said, "I'ma make you a rebel"
I get the ick when I look at sin
Can't do that, I'm too locked in
They tryna make me bad, but I'm too good
Why would I rock out with them?
Never look back, never look back
Never look back, never look back
Yeah, they tryna make me bad, but
I'm Mike Jack, I told them, "Beat it"
Tryna bring up all my sins, I control-alt-delete it
Christ done won, I can't be defeated
On the throne, that's where He seated
He be cooking me and reassuring me, I feel completed
The way I walk it out and don't just talk it out, I feel like Jesus
Every time I quick release, I'm glowing green, I'm overheated
Pass the mic, I'm reading Romans and Ephesians
Hold on, hold on, pass the mic, I'm reading Esther and Philemon
Hold on, hold on, pass the mic, I'm reading every word He speaking
If it's in the book, I eat it up like food that's been Too seasons
I put mustard on my mustard seed 'cause my faith been increasing
Proverbs 30 got me slapping demons, really got me peaking
I been looking mountaintop and valley low, really been seeking
Tryna find out where You are 'cause when I do, swear I ain't leaving
I won't never look back, never look back
I won't never look back, never look, uh-uh
Never look, never look back
Been too good, never look back, never look back
Huh, I ain't smoking weed, but you still blow my high
Tryna get me to go that way, I said, "Bye-bye"
Know that word stand on business like a black tie
Huh, I go back to sin when I see a cat fly
He tryna blow the spot, think that he making it hot
Telling me who he think I is, really, he telling me what I am not
Son of the King, he must've forgot
Hand on the plow, I stay with the Rock
Hand on God, I need Him a lot
Giving Him everything that I got
Houston, think we got a problem (What?)
They is not believing (Oh)
When JC spin the block, then they gon' know they was deceiving
I told Him I ain't looking back, I said I'm never leaving
Let my life be a testimony in and out of season, I ain't
Yo, never looking back
I ain't never looking back
Thought he had me, but I clocked it
God stopped it, and now I'm popping
Yeah, I ain't never looking back
Huh, nah, I ain't never looking back
Thought he had me, but I clocked it
God stopped it, and now I'm popping
God, I wanna thank You for all You've done
You snatched me out the pit just to be Your son
Who would've known I would be the one
You left the ninety-nine for
That you'd have came to die for?
