Testo livingindapast - Formerly LEN
Testo della canzone livingindapast (Formerly LEN), tratta dall'album Fog of War
Empires crumbled
Kings got humbled
Nowadays, living in a concrete jungle
In this life, used to get rewarded for your struggles
You lust, fight, strike and burn the midnight oil
Til you
End up diseased or a product of the recoil
Free soil, turns out the project is colonial
The headstones sanded live life, don't take it for granted
Thinking forward left my memories abandoned
My mind flicker back
Before I made decisions to die in the combat
The visions of the adolescent
Innocent, I only liked to write raps
I'm dumb thinking I was designed to fight back
I'm spoiled with the privilege
I'd finish all my classes then I'd go to play a scrimmage
Then hit the gym I only ever liked the best equipment
And diet hard I'd even try to fast intermittent
Stay faithful to religion
But I ain't perfect, sometimes I'd make some dumb decisions
Tryna find love and getting burned that's a given
Put myself in the best position
Cause everything I've done or would accomplish it was written
I'm here to make a moment so my legacy will last
Got so far my only goal now is to turn it to into cash
Deluded when reality set, my ego crashed
They call me Formerly I guess I'm living in the past
I'm living in the
Empires crumbled
Kings got humbled
Nowadays, living in a concrete jungle
In this life, used to get rewarded for your struggles
You lust, fight, strike and burn the midnight oil
Til you
End up diseased or a product of the recoil
Free soil, turns out the project is colonial
The headstones sanded live life, don't take it for granted
Thinking forward left my memories abandoned
People are busy because they think they're going somewhere
And they're gonna get something and attain something
If you act with a thought in mind that as a result of action
You are eventually going to arrive at some place where everything will be alright
Then you are on a squirrel cage
Because you think you're gonna get somewhere
You're already there
And it's only a person who has discovered that he's already there
Who is capable of action
