A tragedy about a family that fell victim to strange circumstances

Once upon a time in the days of yore
In an African village in folklore
Their village priest had warned them all
Not to go outdoors from dusk to dawn
They were warned to remain indoors
As soon as the chime of eight o'clock
But village Aminaja she was stubborn
For a tube of oil yam she went outdoors
She broke that law
All of a sudden
From the still of the night
Came this strange and fearful sound
It was a ghoulish sound
In an ominous round
Something sweet singing
Oh, what a night of awful dread
She was taken home by a living dead
So soon her household got distressed
When they found their girl was not in bed
So just as if there was a spell
As one and all began to fret
So they went out one by one to search
And one by one they disappeared
What a world of a sad
Because, all along
Ringin' all night long
Was this strange and fearful song
The same fearful song
For the dad was sung
And was sung for the mum
And sung for the son
Singing a song all along
'Till the rising sun
