Testo Glory - Aaron Cole
Testo della canzone Glory (Aaron Cole), tratta dall'album Glory
(Glory)
Yeah, look
I was the one in the classes, youngin but making it happen
Two up, two down to Manhattan
Never had Gucci or Louis, Dior
But this music, I swear, that I did it in fashion
Don't gotta rush I got hours in this
And you know that I'm really 'bout action
Can't believe that they counted me out
Now we running up numbers, just like how I knew it would happen, uh
Don't gotta cap to be fitted, uh
Made for whatever I'm living
When I die, put my name with the best of 'em
Just to inspire the rest of my city
They don't know what we had to endure
A youngin was sleeping on floors
Went to all states, but God had us ensured
Rapping at boys and girls clubs on the tour
'Round the same time parents got a divorce
Honestly what really made me mature
We had to pick locks just to get through the door
They hate and say, "Did he?", they know I'm a bad boy
I been on, since I was sixteen
If they was hot they been losing their steam
I was quiet, she thought I was shy
Went from watching the throne, to being the king, yeah
Came from the bottom, yeah, I paid a price, they couldn't afford it, yeah
I had to build from the ground, I never could let 'em destroy it, uh
They said that they hard, ain't cut from my cloth, it's a hole in their story, yeah
I'm living my dream, I gotta thank God and give Him the glory, yeah, uh
Came from the bottom, yeah, I paid a price, they couldn't afford it, uh
I had to build from the ground, I never could let 'em destroy it, uh
They said that they hard, ain't cut from my cloth, it's a hole in their story, yeah
I'm living my dream, I gotta thank God and give Him the glory
Look, y'all OG's not leading the way, I swear they just get in y'all way
I remember when Tob gave me the platform
And give me the power
I almost got carried away
It was major when I got a minor verse
If I can be honest that's back when he gave me the game
All of the ones that was hating, they looking like Jordan
'Cause they just been fading away, mmm
I gotta thank God, mmm, mmm
'Cause I don't look like what I been through
VA the folk that I tend to
Know I skate when I give 'em this new, new
They know I'm a bad boy, they tryna keep up
They huffing and puffing
We made it from scratch, from nothing to something
I'm loving the person, life got me becoming
I got my rib when I'm hitting my prime, I know, a lot at stake
Can hate it or love it, this is not a game
I'm living with Elvis, a land of grace, look
I'm living my dream so I smile, uh
We went from pennies to proud
Removed all my stains, so I stay with a shout
Get used to the kid 'cause I'm sticking around, huh, you dig?
