Testo First - Chase Matthew

Testo della canzone First (Chase Matthew), tratta dall'album Country Love

I met a girl last night

She reminded me a lot of you

Bought her a vodka Sprite

And we talked 'til almost two

Been tryin' to get back in the game

But they all come in second place

No matter how hard that I try

It just don't feel the same

You were the first one to ride in my CJ-seven

Top off, runnin' down an old back road

First time to knock dust off the bottle while it played on the radio

First buzz on my 21st, first taste of goodbye hurt

It's hard to love anybody else when I loved you first

I loved, I loved you

I loved you first

I loved, I loved you

I love the first time you called me, "Baby"

In a booth in the back of a bar

I love the first kiss that you gave me

You sure had me seein' stars

Been tryin' to get back in the game

But my heart don't wanna play

'Cause all I see it you and me

And it feels like yesterday

You were the first one to ride in my CJ-seven

Top off, runnin' down an old back road

First time to knock dust off the bottle while it played on the radio

First buzz on my 21st, first taste of goodbye hurt

It's hard to love anybody else when I loved you first

I loved, I loved you (yeah)

I loved you first

I loved, I loved you

I met a girl last night

And everythin' came back

I wonder how long that this memory rollercoaster's gonna last

You were the first one to ride in my CJ-seven

Top off, runnin' down an old back road

First time to knock dust off the bottle while it played on the radio

First buzz on my 21st, first taste of goodbye hurt

It's hard to love anybody else when I loved you first

I loved, I loved you (yeah)

I loved you first

I loved, I loved you (oh-oh)

I loved you first

I loved, I loved you

I loved you first (first)

I loved, I loved you
