Testo Blackout - Commentary - Danielle Bradbery

Testo della canzone Blackout - Commentary (Danielle Bradbery), tratta dall'album In Between: The Collection (Behind The Songs)

So the story behind "Blackout," it was the

Story of presenting someone this opportunity

I think it goes all different types of ways

And for me personally, I was performing

For Spotify Performance during CMA Fest

And Scooter Braun happened to be there 'cause

Ariana Grande was performing at the stadium

And so he went there to watch me sing

Which I was like, "This is pretty awesome"

And Ariana was the co-producer of that

Album for the "Charlie's Angels" track

And so Scooter approached me and was like

It was kinda like a, it didn't feel real

Put it that way

And he was just like, "Would you like to be a part of the 'Charlie's

Angels' soundtrack? I think you would kill it. Ariana's co-

Producing, I feel like there would be something really cool in there"

I'm like, "Heck, yes, you don't have to ask me twice"

And so that's kinda how my personal situation happened

And later on they presented the song to me

And I thought it was such a huge, amazing, powerful song

And I was like, "Okay, this is that challenge that I like to take"

And I was a little nervous, but then went in the

Studio, and then eventually it was on the soundtrack

And I remember seeing Ariana post the soundtrack

On her Instagram, and my name was there

I'm like, "This is so cool"

'Cause I love Ariana, she's a huge inspiration of mine

And so that whole thing, I'm like, "My God, this is such a blessing"

Like this is such a cool opportunity that

I didn't know I would be able to have

And we got to see the movie early here in Nashville

I got to kind of hold a previewing

A lot of my friends, fans, people got to come

And I performed the song in the movie

Theater, which I'd never thought I would do

And then we watched the movie

So it was a really cool opportunity

That came with a lot of amazing things
