Testo 1's and 1's - Buddy Miles
Testo della canzone 1's and 1's (Buddy Miles), tratta dall'album Food For The I
Stemming off of spirituality
Trying to come in the studio, we trying to drop a little bit more
'Cause ones and ones want me to constantly dig
Deeper into the things that I be going into
And when I got to the part in spirituality
When I began to talk about meditation
They said you never began to talk about meditation because
You started talking about how to go about learning to meditate
Learning how to breathe, learning how to relax yourself
Become one, uh, bring your center together
That you'll be one center
For you and your Father is one
And in your center you will find the Most High
And finding the Most High is simply, it's almost finding yourself
Being able to trace yourself, be able to look at yourself
And not deny yourself some of the things that you fear
Some of the things that you think is
Bad toward yourself or toward the world
You have to go into the spiritual realm and look at those things
Where you're able to face yourself
It's like looking in a mirror because you must know yourself
To be able to travel further and further in the spiritual realm
See you have to understand if you go according to the holy scriptures
Which is, uh, maybe King James version
And you get the story of Adam and Eve
Those people were put outside of the garden
And the Father put an angel with a fiery sword
That turned every which way to guard the way
So if you thinking that you entering into the spiritual realm
Without passing that guardian angel at the gate
You got something sadly mistaken
That's why your Lord will come and say
I am the truth, the way, and the life
He teaches you how to go past some of these, uh, markers and posts and
Guardian angels who guard the way
You not going too far if you not gonna pass by the angels
Do you think they are just gonna let you in?
You think you just gonna go from realm to realm
And from overtone to overtone and from dimension to dimension
And you not gonna pass or encounter any kind of
Any, any kind of force, any kind of, uh, resistance?
You have to know how to move in the spirit
You understand what I'm saying? 'Cause your Father is spiritual
And your Father rule all things
So things that are conducing unto this
Realm aren't conducing unto that realm
So your conscious mind here on this realm must be, uh
Enlightened, heightened into an elevation where
You know when your chakras is going off
You understand you're discerning, you moving in the spirit
You think in the spirit, you following a whole spiritual path
You interacting with ones and ones due to the fact that you know
Word come from the Most High through ones and ones
So when you able to go in
Even the disciples when they come unto my Lord
It's like even puzzled like how should we pray?
Now we gonna talk about meditation
And we gonna talk about prayer
We gonna talk about how people change
Word trains for a meditation and prayer
And try and pull 'em in and out between each other
And have you pause and think that it's fused to be one thing
But it's not one thing
Even worship's a whole 'nother thing
And standing your center is the number one focus
For your Father is the center of all things
It's not becoming one with a situation
Okay take the story of that
Here come the cast who found the lady in adultery
Found her, uh, committing adultery matter of fact
And brought her unto my Lord and was like
"Hey look check this out
We just caught this broad right here in adultery
Now what we 'posed to do? Do we stone her?
Because you know that's what we do to adulterers"
The Lord take his time, he bend down
He start feeling around in the dirt
Because he done come one with the situation
And then in that oneness
Where you sometime will have that still small voice
Where you must be able to hear the spirit speak to you
Then you'll get a word of power
And when you get this word of power
When you speak that word at that time in that dimension
All is gonna be subject to it because the angels immediately
And the spirit of the Most High shall attach himself to this word
When you are the acting agent of the Most High
So what does he say?
He without sin let him cast the first stone
Broke him down, you understand what I'm saying?
They alive, he know that the spirit is inside of him
And he dealt with the spirit
And then what he tell her?
He know that he busted, you got busted girl, you naked
Now you don't go in sin no more either 'cause you got popped
